Did you ever solve your CD issue? I found this player I am thinking of trying on my 2022 CX 5.

I'm in Canada and my 2021 cx5 GT Turbo comes with the Aux jack in the armrest compartment.

 

Unfortunately my 2022 does not have one. Maybe it is because you have a higher trim level you got the aux port. On another note, do you think the turbo is quieter than the 2.5 l engine? Not just accelerating, but at highway/freeway speeds.

 

2022 cx 5 Signature model in Canada does not have Aux outlet in arm rest or anywhere. They use Android auto with wired usb plug in arm rest on my car.
the turbo is very quite and that is why i purchased it over the basic 2.5L model. The noise was so deafening, that i just returned the test drive car ASAP. The turbo is the way to go. It does drink! You can use both Super and regular fuel which is great. The engine compartment has lots of space and looks easy to work on. Don't buy red like me. The paint job is cheap and already in few months show wear. Buy the cheapest turbo unless you want reverse braking.

 

I find the cabin super quiet. My passengers have told me the same thing, they are impressed how quiet the ride is, wether on Highway or City driving.

 

It is interesting what Consumer Reports has to say about the Non-Turbo, seems they say it has a quiet ride. I have not driven the Turbo and I think I will now.

 

I haven't tried using the CD player I bought in quite awhile. I had too many issues with keeping it paired with the Mazda. When I get audiobooks, I am just downloading them instead of getting the CD versions. Good luck!

 

We like to listen to audiobooks on long trips and downloading them from our library seems like it would be a solution to that. Thanks for that info. Unfortunately not for our over 250 CD collection we have.
