Default Saying Hello!

Hello everyone,
I fount this forum trying to find some information on weird things i found my car doing and decided to join in.
I am a stay at home mom with a toddler. We love fixing cars and using mechanic terms Dad does NOT understand. Our son speaks car better than he speaks English. We started work on a 97 Ford Taurus GL named Edna but had to get a newer care that was less work to maintain.
We got our 2007 Mazda 3 2.3L Hatch about six months ago. His name is Gastly because we are into Pokemon. I described Gastly as a juvenile ball of energy and then found a car that matches the description. We hope to have our Mazda for a long time and add more as we go. I almost feel bad for replacing a Ford with another Ford.

Welcome to the forum. I hope Gastly serves your family well for many years.

While there was a strong connection between Ford and Mazda when your car was new, it is a Mazda regardless of the extent of part sharing.

I felt like something needed said in regards to buying another ford because the first thing the family did was pop the hood to show me that the oil dipstick says Ford on it. This only made me more excited though since I had been looking at a Focus ST. Gastly felt like he had more energy and was in better condition.
