Default A few Issues

My wife has a Mazda 3 Sedan i believe an 06, well the first thing that went wrong with it was the ac quit working the relays are still good system charged no leak.. so im guessing compressor.. How hard would it be to change said compressor..
Then the front bumper keeps popping out of the little clips that itholds into and im afraid that it is gonna fall off while she is driving, is there any way to tell if i need a new bumper or the new clips that hold it in..
Lastly, out of no when the rear door opens it catches on the front door around the area of the door trim.. does this sound like possibly a bad door pin? and how hard would this be to fix?? we are contemplating selling the car but if we dont i wanna get this thing fixed..
Also would it hurt anything if i cut off the plastic crap from the under carriage? I tried to change her oild and it was in the way and imo needs to go..

thanks for the help

Actually not a clue on this, sorry.

Then the front bumper keeps popping out of the little clips that itholds into and im afraid that it is gonna fall off while she is driving, is there any way to tell if i need a new bumper or the new clips that hold it in..
Which clips is it popping out of? I doubt it's going to fall off. The bumper is held onto the car by two bolts in the center, two pop out anchors in the center, about 8-10 bolts along the front at the bottom and by the fenders, two plastic threaded screw/anchors in the fender wells, and by the clips against the fenders. If it's the clips along the top edge of the bumper cover where it meets the fenders then it's possible that the little loop of plastic just isn't getting into the clip itself. I had this happen a few times on my car and I just had to carefully settle it it with a really thin bladed screwdriver while holding the clip from behind. It may also help to remove the cover and make sure it's fully aligned.... if it's slightly off to one side it would continually make that side pop out.

Lastly, out of no when the rear door opens it catches on the front door around the area of the door trim.. does this sound like possibly a bad door pin? and how hard would this be to fix?? we are contemplating selling the car but if we dont i wanna get this thing fixed..
Is it actually the door trim catching on the front door or is it the panel itself? It's possible that one of the doors was bent or knocked out of alignment somehow and that's causing it to catch. If it's the trim itself you could either remove it or relocate it.

Also would it hurt anything if i cut off the plastic crap from the under carriage? I tried to change her oild and it was in the way and imo needs to go..
There's a lot of disagreement on that. Technically the panel is designed to increase under body aerodynamics, protect the bottom of the engine from debris, and help reduce dirt accumulation. There are those who shudder at the thought of removing it and others who say it's useless. My take on it is it may actually help in any of those things I noted above, but cars didn't have them for a really long time so it would probably be fine to remove it.

As far as changing oil it should be...... about seven bolts and the panel comes out. On my car several of my bolts are missing (probably from quick lube places just not reinstalling them) and one of them is seized. I just remove the ones that are still there and rotate it out of the way using the seized one as a hinge. After that the oil change just takes a few minutes. btw the hole in the panel isn't meant for oil changes. It's there for inspection purposes on the assembly line.

to change out the a/c compressor is easy, but you need to find out why it went bad in the 1st place. Mine went out as well turns out it was a grounding problem i have yet to fix because it will involve me tearing apart most of the engine harness since alot of **** is grouped together.

im assuming your bumper is hanging right where it meets the fenders on the sides, this is extremely common with mazda owners that have removed the front bumper. there is a plastic mount that has 3 little nubs that hold the bumper in place, dealer price is $30, i also have that problem and yet to fix because its a waste of $30 for aesthetics atm.

no idea about the doors but my friend bought there 08 mazda 6 brand new and turns out ALL of the door hinges were finger tight, just an fyi

since my car is lowered i pretty much destroyed the plastic undershield when i went to pa, because the roads are just horrible, took it off and the engine bay is a little but more dirty but no dents in the oil pan, no holes in the trans cooler lines, been driving around without for months, through all weather. helps with areo? probably not since it likes to flap around and id worry about a better suspension setup first.
