Hi i am new to Mazda,,,I was looking at the Mazda 3 but the the best price was at invoice at $16,000 and MSRP was $16,880 with Standard Trans power windows and their basic engine but No Rebates.....
Went home and called another dealer and he new a bit more and talked me into a 2006 Black 6i Standard Trans and Basic engine and it looked like a new nice car.Even with the basic engine...I think thats the same engine as the upgrade of the Mazda 3?(I heard Black is a hard color to come by}
Just wondering I heard that people had trouble with their older 6s and in 2005 the newer 6s came out and had a few problems and they say they even upgraded the 2006s a tad from the 05s?
Msrp was $19,880
Price I got was $17,000,,,thats with a $1000 rebate and $500 Mazda Loan rebate.....And i guess $1,380 brings it close to invoice?
Just wondering did a get a good deal on the 2006?...Thanks and hope to learn a bit more from this site...JohnnyT

 

Sounds like a good deal to me. The 4-cyl is fine with the stick, and the reliability is better than the 6-cyl. You'll get terrific gas mileage as well.

I own both a 3 (Me) and a 6 Wagon (wife). They're both very nice cars.

Thanks for yea inputttt,Got the 06 Black Mazda 6,,,,,,,,,,was very hard to find a 6 in Black but if I wanted a 3 there would have been no problem getting a black...Wonder why they don't make many Black 6s..Everyone I called wanted to give me the car at Invoice but no one had a 2006 black in stock.....Jt

Yep the Mazda 6 looks better then the Mazsa 3,,,,Very happy to look around before i bought anything........Will post pics soon...Thanks jt
