Default Help! Ticking noise when start the car

Hi all

I'm new here =) My car is a 2004 Mazda 3 Maxx on 39,000k serviced very regularly with a Mazda service center.

There's been this noise in the front of mycar for half a year now (somewhere near the engine?), which happens when I start the car everytime. It sounds a lot like a clock ticking noise (e.g. da da da...) if I put my foot down on accelerator, the ticking gets faster, and vice versa.

I got it in Mazda service center and have checked, and their opinion is that's noise the timing belt rubbing against somewhere (sorry i can't exactly what exactly is rubbing against). I wonder if any of you had anything similar happening to your car, and what to do to fix it?

I really appreciate your input!

Thanks again

Phoebe

first off, there is no timing belt. the engine is chain drivin, as for the noise could be a number of things, get a vid up (good quality) will help try to figure out what the noise is.
