New Maps update - Q4 25- usual nightmare!
I wish Mazda would get their suppliers of Generation 7 satnav to fix their s/ware.
Inserting SD into my Win 10 laptop it's immediately recognised- folder pops up showing content.
However, Map update s/ware says "insert SD Card"- very annoying. Removed and reinserted - no change.
This seems to be common issue.
Mazda UK, refer you to Mazda Hands free Support in Germany-
they refer you back to UK, as they don't support Gen 7 devices😭
Then tried in my Win 11 laptop - s/ware starts😄 but as usual grindingly slow doing b/up.
Turned off any Windows power saving settings and let update run .
B/up. complete according to progress screen.
However, then see error message twice to start again d/loading NEW MAP😱
But at least previously d/loaded New map files are there.
Process started at 7.15am- as at 3.18pm New map files finally d/loaded but no
doubt will take few hours to complete.
Unfortunately top of pop up screen shows BACK UP wasn't completed, despite stating
earlier that it was.

Ya generally it's the end user that does not know what they are doing... so blame the auto manufacture
It is often the case when you see how a member uses a forum i.e. the threads they start and the threads they participate on.
I mean why contact Mazda support person to person call or at least go to a dealership for help.
Then one could post the answer they got and the resolve for others Now that is part of what a forum is for

This is my 2nd Mazda, so I'm conversant with old and current s/ware.
Your response adds nothing to points I made, all valid.
You seem to enjoy being aggressive in your responses.
S/ware isn't fit for purpose.

Actually its easy to spot a user or abuser (poser) on a forum. Often a member that joins and starts a dozen or more threads mostly all asking for help?
Know of any members like that?
I gave an answer that you should follow ?
If you are communicating with Mazda vs text on non direct communication like calls talking to a person, then you are not doing the best you can to find you answers.
I also notice that you are quick to state it is the manufacture/supplier of the program to Mazda yet you nowhere indicate any credential background education in programing? Hmmm? ok then. But you do fumble around on your computer and do some things that most novices using a computer would know not to do??
You also seem to think that your problem is encounters by other.... yet there is no real fact based information or documentation to indicate that at all. I would ask that you post some, but you are likely to post another ytube from an unknown person(s) with no credentials on the subject?
You know that best thing for you to do if you don't want me to be less likely to respond..... sit patiently and wait for other members to respond. Sometime it can take a day or 2. You should feel good because generally speaking any thread I respond on it gets more attention from both members and visitors.

You need to take it to the dealer as it is not likely a software issue.
Like all hardware, any of these cards can go bad at any time and they cannot be repaired.
There is no way for you to diagnose them at home by yourself unless you are certified computer tech with the proper equipment.
I know this as I was certified service manager/technician for Apple and MS PCs.
Any error message(s) can be a sign your card is bad, and you indicate you are having multiple ones.

Yep they act like similiar to a light bulb. One they have issues, it's almost a full guarentee that they will die and not work soon.
