Newbie here. Can anyone provide the latest version number for the maps on a 2020 cx5 GT. It seems to be a well kept secret for some reason. I can get the version that I now have off my car screen and I just want to know if I even need an update. 2 emails to Mazda have only told me to go through the tool box to find out what the newest version is using the SD card. Seems like a lot of wasted time to just get a number to compare with what I now have. This is my first Mazda since 1995 and I do like the ride and handling and the quite cabin. As far as the infotainment system and software updates go Mazda seems to be way behind many other car makers. Coming over from a Kia it seems like a step backwards. Far too may steps and websites to download to get simple info and updates. Thanks for any help you can give.

If you make a profile an sign in here, https://www.naviextras.com you can see new releases 1000% faster than Toolbox, and then use Toolbox to update new maps.

 

Thanks for the info. The site, like most sites related to Mazda which are clunky, won't let me create an account and sends me to a Mazda site for maps. I've already been to that one a dozen times. When I have some time I'll get the SD card out of the car, download the tool box and go through the posted instructions on line, just to find the latest map version. Wow. The date will help and I thank you for that. I'll just have to get used to this Mazda 10 step system for simple things I guess. Not what I expected but workable over the long run. Good tech lies in its function and simplicity. Mazda is sadly lacking in the later IMHO. Thanks again.

 

Where does that site show updates? I just went to it and signed in with Google. It took me to a Mazda site showing me how to use MazdaConnect. I didn't see anything about map updates.
