Default Hey all, few questions.

Ok, greetings all.

I've recently become the owner of a 1998 Mazda B4000.

I'm a WWII Reenactor, and own several WWII rifles, and one WWI rifle.

I have a German Shephherd, and the truck is now her taxi, lol.

Hopefully yall can help me with my questions!

Few questions, to see if anyone has had similar or heard of similar problems I'm having.

#1:Loud Hum From Air Filter

I get a loud hum/whine from the airfilter after the A/C has been running for awhile, it happens quicker when it runs harder.

I've popped the hood and checked the airfilter, it's brand new, a few specks of black dust/dirt.

A/C is ICEEE! cold.

#2:Recently begun....

To hear groan/growling noise when A/C or Fan is on from the right side facing as if driving the vehicle.

I just need to know what to have a mechanic look at, I still have it under a warranty from where I bought it, and so far it's been no questions asked, what you want done to it. (CarMax, It's my first car, -cough- -cough- excuse me, truck.)

#3: Fun Time!

I've recently bought windshield washer sprayer nozzles for the truck that light up with LED's

Well I can't seem to get to the passenger side sprayer!!

Would it be worth while having someone else install them for me?

I also need to know how to hook them up to 12v power supply.

Does the load humming noise happen mostly at idle? It could be your IAC or Idle Air Control Valve. This valve is located on top of the throttle body near the large flexible rubber intake boot from the air cleaner housing. When the noise is happening then just unplug the IAC valve. If noise suddenly stops then that is the source. Unplugging the valve will probably turn on the CEL if left off too long.

The growling noise sounds like the interior heater fan bearings or a leaf caught in the fan. Does the noise change or get louder with higher fan speeds?

I think you will probably need to remove the wiper arms and cowling panel to get enough access to replace the washer nozzles.

Thanks baby huey.

The growling noise musta been a leaf, I've only heard afew sounds with leaves, etc. stuck, but it went away after I drove around a bit, shutting the fan on and off, hoping to dislodge whatever was causing the growl..

My next question would be how to remove the cowling panel.. and how difficult would it be?

I'll test the IAC out tomorrow.
