Talking "Chrome Moustache"

What to do when you have a Chrome Moustache? Add more Chrome! A Chrome Moustache is the part on the Upper Front Grille on your car that goes across above your Mazda Emblem. My car has it. I like chrome. I added more chrome. 2 X 1/4" strips at very bottom front lip, 1/8" strips around headlights, lower and upper grille.
Also put 1/8" around Rear Taillights and one 1/4" strip + one 1/8" strip across bottom of rear between red reflectors.
Car also came with chrome strips along side (option from dealer).
I bought a new SS lic plate Frame and salvaged the "Mazdaspeed" Logo off the old one!
People like to black out their cars, I like chrome. I hate a lot of plastic on cars.

Made some changes to Front. Here's chrome moustache and grille re-painted with Evil M. Waiting to put it on car.
It's on car, see post 1.

I like it, Noggin. It's the little details that set a car apart form the crowd at a show.

I do like that better in a more subdued look than the way it came from the factory. A much better look IMO. To me, that trim piece above the grille on the 3's and 6's both has always stood out like a sore thumb.

Personal opinion on chrome: Some cars are meant to have chrome. Classic cars would not look the same or "as good" w/o at least some chrome trim. Chrome wheels? Same-same. Put them on a car that compliments them, not one that will look garrish with them on.
To me, most modern cars do not. At best, some small trim pieces work best. Big, giant pieces do not.

Now that i painted it, i think it will be better. With black cars, people tend to black everything. Chrome on silver, white cars looks stupid. Chrome looks great on blue cars I hate a lot of black plastic. Virgin, you do not have much black plastic, everything is painted. Chrome i did to my car is finally looking good. I love chrome rims but think they would be heavy.

Re-painted front upper grille/emblem with Plasti-dip and no clearcoat as previous attempt caused clearcoat to peel off. Also put black plastic piece behind emblem for winter time and to keep maple keys out.
Removed chrome pieces from bottom as i had to cut bottom lip off for clearance as last year lowered car @ front. Also put on new headlights, and didn't bother putting chrome around them.
