DLC stands for Data Link Connector. The thing where you hook up the diagnostic tool. It is a 16 pin connector. You count the pins from left to right. The top row is 1 to 8, the bottom row is 9 to 16.

It should look somewhat like this:

I sir my name is jacob, I just bought this 1996 Mazda Protege and it ran fine until one day I get in the car and it cranks over and doesn't want to start I feel I have starch and I have combustion I think its a flooding problems also have check the codes there was no check engine light but I check the many ways and popsicles for PO 120 which is physician sensor malfunction I don't know if that will have anything to do with keeping it from starting also noticed that uh the spark plugs are black and the piston whole you can see a little bit of gas sitting on top of the Pistons. If I start the car without a fuel relay to burn out the field in the cylinders and put the relay back and it went to start the very first time that you started and as close as I can get to get to start please help thank you

greetings tan! just a question, and i dont mean to create animosities. who are the moderators? are you one? i have been here for just a short time, but i think you are one of the of the most ¨level head¨ i have seen in a forum for a long time. that is refreshing and probably the reason why i still keep logging in a couple of times a day. this forum has so much potential, it is sad to see it so slow.
