2010 Mazda 6 emergency key slot broken, falsely detects key
Hey all,
I have a 2010 push to start Mazda 6. When my fob was dead I accidentally broke my emergency key slot on the steering column. It constantly thinks there's a key in the slot. Keyless entry no longer works, when driver's door is open it beeps, can't lock the doors from the outside using the remote, can only manually lock with key.
My question is, how little can I replace here? I know there's the whole assembly, but can I just replace the coil below? Hoping to not have to spend ~$500 on the larger part. Any advice on this issue would be appreciated. Thanks
