My wife lost her key and FOB for her 2003 6. We have one regular key and FOB still, and the grey key, which I believe is a valet key. Using the general reprogramming instructions, can I use the grey key as the 2nd key but have a new blank cut to match the normal key, and still program the car? The grey key seems to work normally. My understanding is that the key just won't open the glove box.

The valet key only works on the ignition and the door so you can program the remote with it.
