It should fit.
I've installed myself a aftermarket deck in my 2014 Mazda 5 two weeks ago.
The reason why they are writing that this units fit only in 2011 und 2012 manufatured cars is, that they haven't tested if the CAN-BUS Protocoll from the car works with the units.
I've talked prior with my local MAZDA dealer and he told me that MAZDA never changed the protocoll.
At least it is a warranty issue why they mention this in their offers.
