Default What is this sensor?
Working under my daughters 2006 Mazda3, I came across this sensor on the transmission, which has a broken green cable leading to it. My question is (probably, for Mazda experts) pretty simple - what *is* this sensor? Should I repair/replace it, or is the car happy without it?

Either reverse light switch or neutral position switch.
