Default Rack and pinion replacement 2009

Does anyone know how to get the rack and pinion out of an 09 Mazda 3? I’m having a hell of a time figuring out how it’s supposed to slide out. Any insight is appreciated!

You need to drop it out along with the subframe. Then seperate it from the subframe.

alright got just about done taking the subframe out and the top bolt on it will not loosen nor tighten any further than this, it just spins either way and does not go in or out. I’ve tried putting pressure on the bolt with a pry bar and turning but it hasn’t helped. Suggestions? Not really sure what would be appropriate considering this bolt goes into the frame and supports the subframe.

You may end up having to cut of the bolt head, removing the subframe, then cut the bolt off flush with the chassis, then partially drill out the bolt, try and use a easy out/ stud remover, being careful not to damage the thread.
