PLS HELP! WOULD LIKE SOME COSMETIC ISSUE ADVICE.
i meant an open claim, where my isurance goes after her insurance . she offered to pay for the deductible. i moved in a week ago.. they are not my friends, but are responsible people, i'm trying to figure out a way for the best of us to keep us in good terms. sucks that she has to pay more $$, but the moral of this is she needs to be ccareful next time she opens up her door
I still think it'll weigh against your insurance. My wife worked for an Allstate agent for a few years and studied auto insurance. Even calling them about an incident that's not your fault will put a mark against you on yours... and they will add to it if further problems arise.
It seems odd that the reason we carry insurance, besides it being the law, is to protect ourselves. Yet even after paying premiums for years w/no claims they can raise your rates, put you on the high risk list or drop you completely for one stupid thing. I'd be careful about calling your insurance co, or she hers, if @ all possible.
It hardly seems right.
hmm now the good thing is the lady will call her insurance and they will pay the deductible, but the downside is i will have to wait for their adjuster to come and check my gouge/doording out. hopefully everything works out great. i have AAA and the lady told me that she will waived my deductible, but now thinking about it i don't want anything to do with my insurance.
GIRL, u mention above that the girl is calling her insurance company but why would they waive the deduc. for your friend if she makes a claim ? Then u advised you called your insurance and they will waive your deductible? Are both of u filing a claim with you insurance companies ? Also, without a police report i am curious, it is word of mouth ? Why does she not just pay you out of pocket aftr you get some estimates, her insurance will go up if she files a claim , does she know tht ?
this is what i'm going through. i am deciding to do an open claim i(have my insurance go after her insurance) f she decides to turn her words around (she is not my friend, i am just renting a room at the house), so i want to keep this situation as positive as possible, becuase i am depending on this place for the rest of my school year 07'08', basically, i want to keep us in good terms.
I am giving her a chance (even though i want to get my **** fix ASAP). she is planning to call her agent and have an adjuster to come and see my car. she will pay for the deductible after my car gets fixed.
so all the bet is on me because either way i am not paying for anything, and if i did file an open claim, it will not affect my insurance. So now, i want to know that if she does call her insurance, she needs my information correct? i am just curious of what her insurance will do because i found a place to get my **** done already. let me know fellas!

This statement withthat word init bothers me. Why wouldn't she cover the deductable BEFORE, or at least as you are getting the car fixed?
If it was her fault and she knows it, she should have no prob doing that and showing you good faith.
