In the midrange? Please provide a few links.

FWIW, I've seen many-many that show a very marginal gain up near redline at WOT, but only one that showed a meaningful gain in the midrange. That said, the single one that showed the gain also showed a significant reduction in the top end power. Why? Because even though the intake was fashioned after typical CAIs, its primary design and ultimate function was to change the tuning of the intake resonance for more power over the factory intake in the mid RPM ranges.

Interesting graph, but I don't consider 4,764 RPMs to be "midrange". Looking at the 3,000-3,500 realm I see virtually zero difference.

It shows a slight increase around there. But the intakes do claim the main point of increase around 4500

plain and simple, intakes sri or cai any make, range between 0-20whp/tq, it all depends on car, and if the throttle is electric or cable. Our car being a econobox you can expect to see 5whp/6tq at most the part that sucks is with out car being electronic throttle the ecu is going to compenstate or the "increase" and further pull back the timing and close the plate unless a tuner is installed. Im starting the super street class this phase time permitting im going to dyno my car and post the dyno sheet here my friend dynoed his 3 with less mods than me and made a cute 150whp/140tq, he has a 2.0 atx, the ratings for that motor was 150whp and 135tq FWD have a 10% drivetrain loss to the wheels losing 15hp and tq so it really makes 135whp/125tq stock. His mods were an F2 intake and F2 exhaust, while i have the timing mod, AEM intake, OBX header and 2.25in custom exhaust....wait what was we talking about???
