Default Bad front tire wear.

I have a 2002 Tribute. I went 70k with the first set of factory tires. I replaced the tires last fall, and this spring I bought new front struts with my tax refund...woopeee just what I wanted! Since they put on my new tires I have had awful tire wear on the inside of my front tires, the struts were supposed to fix it, but I have had no luck. 17k on this set of tires...and I will probably have to replace atleast 2 soon. I have had them rotated and realigned what seams like once or twice a month. Does anyone have any idea what may be going wrong? It doesnt pull one way or the other, it has a really loud "whirl" noise, so I know that something isnt rididng correctly. Is it the car or the tires? What kind of mechanic do I take it to...we really like the one we have, but it seems like we need a second opinion. I dont trust the dealership as far as I can throw them. Thanks for the help.

I would suggest another opinion, preferably a shoopp that specializes in alignments and tires.

Second that one TomV1. Has to be something that is being missed. Excessive toe-out or missadjusted camber can cause inside edges to wear. Camber/caster is adjusted by rotating the strut top so maybe was just not reinstalled in correct position. Should have been caught during alignment though.
Also have the front lower a-arm out ball joints checked carefully as have seen worn/loose ones in the past that can also cause abnormal tire wear.
