Default wont idle

Hello all Mazda techs, i have a 2003 Protege5, was towed over with an alternator flatlined, found both power wires at alt burnt in half. i repaired wires and installed new alt and battery, now car will not idle, we have checked iac, air intake leaks, to no avail. any help would be greatly appreciated. oh yea i can keep car running, it just wont idle on its own.

did you find the burnt wires before it was towed? Or is it possible the tow guy tried to jumpstart it and hooked the wires up backwards?

If the alternator died in a bad way, it could have put out high voltage and fried some electronics before the car died. I'd guess the check engine light is on now... may have a code to check.
You could get a scanner tool and see what different sensor levels are when the key is on - could lead you to what module is bad.
