Last week heard a noticeable pop from engine when i tried to start it. Now is starts and will run with foot on gas but will not idle. have changed wires, plugs, distributor cap, rotor, MAF, and coolant temp sensor. No luck. any ideas ?

How does it run otherwise. Does the engine rev up like it did before? Was thinking perhaps the timing belt jumped a tooth or two.

 

ive experience that trouble a week ago ang i trouble shoot it!first you must open the air intake or carburator wer air is suck in!from the solenoid just a top of that carburator remove 4 screw,check the rubber support for the idle ispindle housingbetween two spring,that might already damage that cause high idle!try it!
