Default wont idle right

im new tot he forum and own a 95 pro with the 1.5 about a year ago i started doing some work to my car because freinds say its slow as a turtle wich there right. anyway i have put exhaust on it and stripped the car for the most part and i recently put a intake on which i fabricated with some parts from my local home depot. yet my car is running badly and it idles ruff especially if i rev the engine and let it go it idles down till it almost dies. my maf is connected and working fine as well as o2 yet there is one sensor that was plugged in the air box that at the moment is disconnected i dont know what its for and i noticed a very small crack in the exhaust manifold wich im planning to replace with a stainless if anyone knows who makes one. also does anyone know of some other fairly cheap mod. and is porting and polishing worth the time and money. thanks very much.

This sounds like the air intake temp sensor. This is to let the PCM know the temp of the incoming air to change air/fuel ratio.

is there a way to fix this. i have also heard of putting a transistor to make your engine se a constent temp of 32 degrees does anyone know of this. i have freinds that have done this and the part is fairly cheap yet i do not know where to place it.

What I have seen uses a resistor, not a transistor. I have seen these "module" items sold on ebay that promote more power. Thats all it is. The size resistor that is used i have no idea. I'm sure you can google it for more info.
