Wire controlling the DRL?
Hello,
I installed HID lights onto my Protégé 2000. I got them working however the HID headlight relay now buzzes when the DRLs are on. This is due to pulse width modulation i think. I have read online i need to install a capacitor to hold a charge to keep 12 Volts at the DRL wire. This is all fine except there are three wires at the H4 headlight connector on drivers side. Two have 12V power and one has nothing. I am unable to use my multimeter to detect which one is providing the pulse width modulation and therefore which one gets the capacitor. Originally i thought that the one wire that didn't have power was ground but now i think that it grounds to the body.
Does anyone know which one of the wires controls the DRLs? I am unable to separate the two that have power. I have found electrical schematics below. Has anyone done this to their Protege?
Thanks!
Nathan
