Default oil change on an 02 protege DOHC

Hey guys. My girl has an 02 protege and I'm changing the oil on it this weekend. A look under the hood told me nothing but that it was a DOHC 4cyl. Owners manual didn't help much more except informing me that it comes in a 1.6, 1.8, and a 2.0. It takes 10w-30 oil but the displacement is still unknown. Also how much oil does the block hold? My 4.0 holds a full 5 quarts so I figured I would ask. Thanks in advance.

3.5 liters or 3.7 quarts with the filter. the 2002 year model only came with the 2.0 dohc, so you definitely have that motor. filter is on the side of the motor facing the firewall and is kind of hard to get to. i jack the car up from the passenger's side as high as i can get it and slide in from the side under the tire. the filter is full arm's length from my right arm if i position myself just right. that's the easiest way that i have found to do it. you will get the hang of it soon enough.

I agree on the fram, I usually stick with amsoil or any other good reputable brand...
