Default 3.0L DOHC oil leak

I have a 2005 Mazda 6 with the 3.0L DOHC. I know that the timing cover leaks, but I also see oil under the intake manifold and on the slight shelf you see where the head meets the block. My question is, does the timing cover seal in such a way that a leak in the top side of it will go into the area under the intake or is likely the head gasket. I just want to know if the head gasket is leaking oil here. I am skeptical that the head is the source of this oil but just wanted to see if anyone else has observed and repaired this?

Can't much help you w/ this one, but can saythat my '03 V6 is wetting itself w/ oil underneath. Yet to discover the source. Very slow leak, and so far just making things a little smelly. i suspect a main seal (uhg) but can't tell where, exactly. Anybody else have an idea about what to look for, and where?
