How the heck do you disconnect the fuel hoses from the sending unit? Its some kind of quick connect but cant get it loose?

There is actually a tool for it. My son replaced the fuel filter on the tribute. It has that quick connect, but I don't think he had that special tool, and I don't know squeeze turn or whatever to remove it.
