1992 Protege engine hesitation. HELP.
Hello,
I need your help. My 1992 Protege LX DOHC manuel with 165,000 miles.
Once in awhile, at idle, the engine will rev to 1,600 rpm or dip to low rpm around 200 or engine die. When this irregular sign occur, the car will hesitate while moving at speed between 30-70mph.
Sometimes engine stop running at traffic light. And could not start until I floor the gas for about 5 seconds+ when crank the engine at the same time.
I had replaced new NGK spark plugs, new spark wires, new air flow meter, new air filter and new battery. Had cleaned the throttle body as well.
One of spark plug wire's old rubber head piece is sticking inside the engine right on top of the spark plug, therefore, I could not replace that bank. Would this be the problem?
The ground cable that connect the battery are loose and need to be replace. Right now I had only the duck tape holding it down. Would this be the problem?
Thanks for reading.
