Thank You for the answer. Meanwhile we haverenewed two Xedos 9 (from the Hungarian Mazda Club)display's solder joints, and the results aren't too good: both are blink or disappear or freezenow as well in a temperate range. I don't think that the error connected to the ignition switch - at least at my Xedos 9 -, because the only problematic area is the clock / computer display, but the climate display part is always operating perfectly.

Maybe we should renew every solder joints in the mainboard, not only the ones which are connected to the display directly...

I had a Problem close to yours. I downloaded a manual for a 96 millenia and it will tell you how to reset your c/c. Here is the web site "http://rapidshare.com/files/51248650/Millenia-1996.rar". Resetting the c/c are on pages U22-U25. It was real simple once I figured it out. If that don't fix it try to take your negative cable of of your battery while your car is running for about 2 or 3 minutes. That resets alot of computers back to default. Good Luck!

I need to replace this display on my 95 but need to hnow how to get the dash out to access it

very easy. on either side of the steering column, there are 2 black plastic covers, the left side one has the rheostat for the dash lights. remove them, and underneath are 2 screws, one on each side. remove the screws. then, the part of the dash with the cc just prys out. but carefully. you have to also remove the connector for the rheostat, which is a bit of a pain because it is so short. also, you will have to remove the connectors before being able to pull the dash all the way off
