New 2023 CX9 owner here. Love it so far.

2 questions that I just can’t seem to find an answer for.

1). Power lift gate- works flawlessly except if I use the exterior button on the lift gate to open it. It will beep but nothing happens. Is it broken or am I missing something?

2). Sometimes when I enter the car it beeps like 10 times rapidly when I open the door. Most of the time it’s just 1 beep but what does that 10 beep mean??

My daughter just got a 2012 CX-9 and the lift gate has been a challenge to understand. It turns out that you have to unlock all the doors first. Three presses on the remote button for the lift gate and it sounds one warning beep and then opens. I the doors are not unlocked first, it beeps thee times and does not open.

 

I have a 2021 Carbon Edition. There are two buttons on the lift gate. The one in the center opens it. The one to the right is a lock button like the ones on the front door handles. Which one are you pushing?
