2021 cx5 got a notice my life gate was open can it be closed remotely. I wasn't near the car an didn't see notice right away when I got back to my car an hour later gate was just wide open has this happened to anyone

 

Yep- seems to happen with folks quite a bit. Likely you had the fob in your pocket and hit the button accidentally.

 

Ha, we got a beautiful 2019 CX-5 41 hours ago (who's counting?) and after wrestling our ornaments onto the fobs I discovered the hatch was open.
The car was 40 feet away and the signal went through a wall.
What else are we going to learn?
