Default 2010 CX9 Waterpump

Hello All,

I was aware of waterpump design flaw with ford duratec engines therefore i was constantly keeping an eye on coolant levels. At 91,000 miles my coolant level has gone down from high to low , car is still driving fine.how do i make sure it is waterpump leaking?. If i change oil is there a way to tell if coolant is in there?

should i trade it in while its still driving fine or spend 2000$ to get waterpump changed ? Do you think ford dealer will cheaper compared to mazda dealer ?

Check your oil and post a pic.

You may want to make sure that you don't have a leak elsewhere such as a hose, add dye and use a black light to see where the leak is coming from if you can't spot it visually.

My understanding is that in 2011 they improved the water pump design and another improvement in 2016.
