2007 CX-9 Stuck in Park
Woke up this morning to CX-9 stuck in Park. I checked the fuses and brake lights and everything seems fine. I took apart the shifter assembly and was able to look at where the shifter interlock cable attaches to the shifter. When I disconnect the interlock I am able to shift out of park just fine. I also recorded a video of the interlock cable. When I turn the key and press the brake I can pull the cable but I do feel a lot of resistance. Just looks to me like when the cable is connected that these is just too much resistance to allow the shifter to move out of park. I'm leaning towards the interlock cable needing to be replaced but wanted to get some experienced opinions first before going into this.
Thank you.
Thank you.
