Default Mystery Oil Leak

Hi guys,

Tried using the search function with no luck.

I have a 2010 CX-7 2.2 Diesel. It has developed an oil leak from underneath, I have taken the engine cover off and checked the usual suspects; Sump Gasket, Filter housing etc. These were both clean and no oil residue, The leak appears to be coming from the side of the engine where the aux belt is. However I cannot see anything from above or below the engine, nothing from the wheel arch either. I have sprayed brake cleaner and cleaned the engine in the hope of spotting any new oil trails in the future, any ideas ?

Any pointers with the stupid sidelights and the handbrake adjustment methods would also be greatly appreciated.

Possible leak from the timing chain cover.

Could also be a crank seal that has gone bad
