Connectin an android phone to CX5 for Google maps

When I connet my Google Pixel phone to my Mazda CX5 to I can see the map inthe display but won't get voice instructions through the speaker.
Will someone please help to get it going.

I connect my Android phone to CX-5 (soon getting a CX-50, which is why I'm here) through BlueTooth. For some reason I can't get Android Auto to work on my Galaxy A12. Sometimes it takes a moment for the voice to be heard through the car's speakers.
