Trans Fluid Check @ 122 F

Trans Fluid Check @ 122 F
If transmission fluid level was checked at max operating temp. as opposed to 122 deg.F marked on dipstick, would there be any significant change in fluid level ? Is the 122 F just the minimum temp required for checking level or must it be at that exact temp ?
Is there any way to check the fluid temp without a some kind of electronic scan device?
Thank you.

Thermostat for coolant opens at 129f that is also when the coolant light turns off from cold start. At that time 130F+ coolant is warming the transmission fluid along with the engine itself. It takes on a 60F day about 3-5 minutes of a short drive to bring the transmission to full operating temperature which will be at least the same as to coolant at this point 150F+ and you can check the ATF fluid level.
You will also at this point of temperatures be in closed loop ECU engine operations.
