has anyone gotten seat belt extrenders for their cx-5? I have a child seat in back and it blocks the seat belts. I asked the dealer for some and they sent me 2 (180416A) but they don't work. They snap into the base, but the belt won't snap into the extender. I contacted mazda but they never responded.

 

never mind. it looks like they sent me the front seat extenders. I'll have to get them to mail me back seat extenders.

 

Hey, sorry for digging up an old thread. My kids have just grown into booster seats and I now also have the problem where the seats block access to the buckles because they are so recessed into the seat.

Did you manage to find out what the model or part number was for a CX5 compatible seat belt extender to bring the buckle up to align with a booster seat so the kids (and I) can buckle them up and more importantly, release them in an emergency?

One of the problems with digging up an old thread - the OP hasn’t been back to the forum in almost 5 years. He won’t see your question. It is usually much better to start a new thread than it is to revive a zombie.

 

Yeah fair call... I managed to pick up a couple for the side rear seats this morning. The center rear seat is proving more challenging.
If anyone does stumble on this thread through google like I did...

I got a pair of extenders from E-Bay. Work fine on the fronts belts.
