Default Blind Spot Monitoring Sensor

I replaced the driver's side mirror in my 2020 CX5. There are a few things that make me think this mirror is not an exact fit, such as a shorter cable length for the cable that connects to the wiring in the door. This aside, when I made all of the connections, the mirror seemed to operate correctly (the turn signal indicator, the motor control (to adjust the position of the mirror)). Also, the blind spot indicator in the top-left flashed briefly when I started the car, just as the passenger side did. The issue is that in the message center I get a message that there is an error in the blind spot monitoring sensor(s). I went in to the settings in the infotainment center, but I cannot turn this off, even temporarily. I am looking into getting a new mirror, but I can't wrap my head around how the mirror could affect this system, when the indicator light embedded in the mirror seems to be working properly.
