Powertrain liftgate problem help please!
My 2018 mazda cx-5 recently started beeping in the back constantly when I'm driving. The liftgate is closed and no where on the car does it say the liftgate is open so the car knows its not open but still constantly beeps when in motion. I can't open the liftgate the buttons won't open it. The cars in park or off and the doors are unlocked. When trying to open with the button in the car on the driver side it beeps 3 times and when I try to open it with the key fob it doesn't make a sound at all. It was raining heavily when it started so I'm wondering if rain got on a sensor. I also messed with the button on the driver side door handle on the outside of the car that locks and unlocks the car when the fob is near by I don't know if maybe that put it in some type of setting. Please help. This beeping noise is driving me insane!

Water getting inside of the liftgate is a known CX-5 issue, and can damage the actuator and/or switch. Post back if you are a DIYer, and would like to make the repair yourself. If not, you'll need to take it to a shop for diagnosis and repair.
