Noise when increasing speed - Bad Bearing or tires?
Yes exactly I'm playing the nice customer lmao. The case manager in Georgia has been really good with telling me the dates and what documents were sent. He told me that he first reached out to the dealer on Tuesday the 18th directly after talking to me (1 week ago). I guess a paper/document was missing in what the dealer received so it was apparently causing the job to get denied until it gets fixed (I was not aware until today). I believe that the case manager said he reached back out to the dealer this morning to follow up on the corrected paperwork and make sure it was received, but the main contact at the dealer who's been talking with my case manager was not there today. It sounds like the dealer just needs to look over everything and give it the stamp of approval.
Ya...... it still is not the way things work regarding Mazda warrantees when they are escalated to the Mazda Corp , but that's fine as long as you are feeling like things are being handled.
So my case manager just gave me a quick update. I guess the after warranty service department keeps asking the dealer for more paperwork on what needs to be done and what parts they'll need. Once the after warranty service department gets happy with the paperwork from the dealership, it should proceed. I told my case manager that my girlfriend is going to be starting work soon and we need the car done as soon as possible.
I know what they are doing.... they are trying to get Mazda to pay for the labor rate for a non-warranty service and parts then they will accept to dop the work because Mazda will reimburse the dealership.
Good luck and I really hope it works out for you. Don't be surprised if they come back and state that you must pay a partial charge. It may not be that much but take the deal it will still be better than attempting to fight it (you won't likely win and it could be months in that process) or go to a independent service shop.

Hmmm that's interesting, but makes sense. We don't paying a little out of pocket if that's what it takes. I wasn't trying to go through the process in an ignorant fashion like many would and expect Mazda to pay for 100%. I understand that it's called goodwill for a reason lol

I try every week to help customers that I know are on a limited income but need their vehcle but there is only so much I can do and still keep the shop in the Black.
FINALLY got some good news. Mazda is only gonna charge us $550 for the entire rear differential job. We'll gladly take it!
The only bad news is that they didn't even mention the valve cover gasket or timing cover gasket leaks at all in the case (even though the invoice and dealer's system show them as needing replacement alongside the rear differential), so I'll have my girlfriend mention those to the dealer and see if they'll be able to address it. My case manager said to have her mention the gaskets when dropping off the car and reach back out to him if the dealer can't help with getting them added to the case or getting additional goodwill. It's the timing cover gasket that I'm more concerned about since it's quoted over $2k due to needing to take the engine out. The valve cover gasket is very simple and they quoted $400 which is not terrible.

My girlfriend already dropped off the car for the rear differential a couple of hours ago and she asked about the gaskets per my case manager's request. The dealer said we have to open another case and that they can't do anything. I'm gonna talk to the case manager I've been working with tomorrow and see what we need to do regarding the two gaskets. I figured they could add them on to the work order or something, but I guess not. He can still re-open the case so I guess we'll see what happens. At least they already have the parts and should finish replacing the rear differential by the end of this week or the beginning of next week.
Ya i was afraid of that... happening.
They wont add it to that first service order... Its not about reopen a case??? You have 2 different concern. Not sure why were told that??
Anyway .................
