Default Noise when increasing speed - Bad Bearing or tires?

Hi everyone,

My girlfriend lives in the Tampa, Florida area and has a 2021 CX-5 Non-turbo with 70k miles. She started to notice a noise earlier today when she increased & maintained her speed. I attached a video below for reference. Any ideas what it could be? I'm concerned it could be the tires or something else like a bearing. Please let me know your thoughts, and if you have any trustworthy mechanics in the Tampa area. Thanks!

Hard to determine if it's a bearing or tyres. First thing I would do is swap the front wheels side to side. Most tyres get a block wear from braking which does cause tyre noise.

A tire that stared to get hard with age would sound similar but you would have noticed it a long while ago.
An axle or bearing the noise could come on suddenly if were going bad. Also gradually but as you suggested this just came on then not tires.

Naturally take it to Firestone it may be a free inspection then you will know for sure.

Question? Does the noise get louder as you turn left or right?

Hard for me to tell, some highway surface conditions themselves (material make-up) can make a significant amount of noise.
Knowing when the tires were last changed and/or rotated could help with the diagnosis.
As always, best bet is to get it checked out by a professional, as in the long run it usually saves time and money.
Is anyone in Florida, except your girlfriend, really trustworthy

The clues are in the video sound and your information.
Read my first response to your question again.
I deal with this sort of thing weekly from customers having the same concern.
Post what you find from having it looked at by a shop.

The tires are 2 years old with 33k miles and were installed up here in Massachusetts for like 8 months and have been down in Florida for almost a year and a half now. They are Supermax HT1 tires from Walmart with a "50k warranty", so not anything high quality. I linked them below for reference. We got them since we were on a tight budget as college students at the time lmao. I wouldn't be shocked if they need to be replaced now. I did notice a slight hum noise from what I assumed was the tire(s) when I drove the car a couple of months ago at highway speeds, but it was extremely subtle. I'm probably gonna have her bring the car to a local mechanic near her with great reviews and pray it's just something like the tires needing to be replaced.

Tires can produce a humming and ride quality change as they age and get harder. That noise however is constant and always , predominately herd on smoother roads but not intermittent as I understood your information. One test you can try is on a stretch of road that is low traffic good tarmac and straight, reduce the tire pressure by 10lb and then drive only up to a max of 40 mph and see what you hear. Make sure you return the proper PSI after the test drive.

Just talked to her again. She said it's most noticeable going over 40+ MPH. On the highway she said it's about the same. I'll post another video later when I get a chance. I'll have her get it checked out as soon as possible.

I could hear a subtle noise - as the video went on- indiscernible - It didnt have the high pitched wine of a bearing failure - or the clicking of the half-shaft/axle and it would be odd that one tire would suddenly start making noise independent of the others- Have the shop put it up on the lift and go thru the gears with one person in the drivers seat one outside --that should solve it - Have the wheels been submerged in any flooding or parked on the street where the water went up past the axle ?
