Unhappy No boost until 2500 RPM and DPF light.

Hi all,

I have done a search and this appears to be a common issue, we have no power/boost at all under 2500RPM and when it reaches that point it's like it drives like it's old sell again although it feel like it has more boost than usual. I have cleaned the MAP, MAF and intake sensor and nothing has changed, recently took it in for a service and the DPF light came on on the way to the mechanic. No codes were visible and the system was reset then a week later the DPF light came on and needed a burn. Stil have this "no boost" issue and just now the DPF light has come on again.

They have a theory that the plastic teeth on the electric wastegate (common problem) have worn or broken in a specific area or the throttle body might need a good clean, if it's the turbo I know it won't be cheap especially now leading up to Christmas. I might add that no codes being thrown so it's all a bit of a guessing game so just in case the fuel filter and air filter was also changed just in case.

Anyone have an idea of what it could be before I either throw money at it or leave the keys in it....would be a slow theft though as the car drinks the fuel and has no guts.

Getting desperate here.

I would book it with Mazda for diagnosis. They are the factory backed specialists.

I rang to book it in and when I advised them of the issues they advised straight up it’s the turbos and DPF system before I even confirmed the booking.

I’ll get it in there for diagnostics but thought I would reach out here first.
