Default DPF Light and o2 Sensor replacement

Currently using a Mazda 3 2011 Hatchback 1.6 Diesel Ts2 UK spec. The DPF light has been on and off for a while so we have had the DPF hydro cleaned. The company who did the clean also recommended replacing the o2 sensor on the DPF. This has been completed. However the DPF light and limp mode are still activating as if there is an issue. There were no other sensor issues detected by the guys who cleaned the DPF filter. Any advice or help with this recurring issue would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Has it been scanned for fault codes?
When was the engine oil & filter last changed & the oil data in the PCM reset?
Have you carried out a forced regen?

Many thanks for you extra questions:

1) fault code shown is P2453 Generic DPF
2) Oil Service and filters changed on August 5th 2020, not sure about PCM reset presume this would have been done at the same time. DPF Was Hydro cleaned on August 6th 2020.
3) Forced regen has been tried by doing a long run & also by turning engine on with a temp of 70+ and holding the DSC button down. Using the second option the car tries to start the regen but then stops (there is a change in engine tone). The stop is done by the car as no controls or peddles are touch to cancel the operation.
