Default Unable to reset dpf light

Hi I have a 2.2 mzr-cd 2011 model. The dpf light came on and started flashing the other day when the ignition was turned on. I got the light turned off. Then few days later the light started flashing again but this time I turn the ignition on and the light goes out then when engine started the dpf light starts flashing. I’ve done a forced Regen oil and filter change and injector calibration and still the lights flashing. Have just had the car motd and the emissions are fine. There is no lack of power and car starts as it always has . Does anyone know what could be wrong. Have I missed anything. Does the Regen oil change and calibration need to be done in order. It can be reset via diagnostic tool at anytime, however its not recommend outside of oil changes.

Has it been scanned for codes?

I have force generated the dpf changed oil recalibrated injectors. The oil counter reset but the dpf won’t. I have read that the dpf flashing could mean the timing chain stretched. Do all the resets need to be done in a special order. I did read the codes with hand held scan tool but the only one that came up was clutch pedal switch which comes on prob once a year

thanks

yes the problem was not the dpf but the timing chain. There is a sensor fitted as an after market item that when the timing chain stretches the dpf light comes on. Changed the chain and no more dpf light
