Default Mazda Mobile Start. Opinions?

Thinking of purchasing the Mazda Mobile Start for smartphone app for my 2016.5 GT.

Any thoughts or opinions on it? Experiences with it?

App security comes first, to my mind.

So I just went to the App Store for my iPhone and read the reviews. Wow, I've never seen worse reviews for an app. Unless there's been some major updates with it, think I'll stay away. But, would still like to hear experiences from the group.

My wife has it. I believe you have to enter in a password to unlock the app and then you can start the car. She said it could take up to 1 minute from time you press the button to the time it actually starts. Lag time of the internet I'm guessing. She hasn't complained about it and likes the idea. There are bad reviews for a lot of the remote start applications even in the aftermarket world where its suppose to be better

So are all new Mazda's mobile start ready and you just need to get the app and pay for the service?

With our other cars we had remote start installed and they didn't shut off when you opened the door. The car was still locked. I don't think its a big deal just odd that it shuts off. I can live with it. I think the app needs to be a bit more stream line. Enter one passcode and start your car.
