Friend just picked up new 2016 with this feature. Is it accurate to say with this feature installed the *only* way to remote start is via the app? Is it no longer possible to remote start car sitting in driveway via fob ( i.e. the old fashioned way)?

The app seems like kinda a pain, not to mention a $65 cost after first year?
