Does anyone use it? How reliable is it? Does it work consistently?

 

uhmm... it works as consistently as your push button does. With a push button start system there is NO added technology for remote start capabilities.

I ask because a friend of mine has a Mercedes and another with an Audi and both have mobile starts that do not connect to their vehicles consistently.

 

Yes there is remote start for push button cars. I just had it dealer installed on my 2016.5 CX5. I find it a bit finicky. Also, as soon as you open the door, the car shuts off and you have to restart conventionally.

 

Hi, I just bought the GT also (Jan. 20) and had the MSS installed about a week later. It's ok, but the login process is cumbersome. Personally I would prefer a button on my key fob in addition to the phone app (use the app for refining settings, but the fob to just start the darn car). The other thing I notice is the interior of the car does not seem to warm up very much. Temps here were about 36 degrees yesterday and my heated seats were on as well as the temp control set to 76 with mid-level air. When I got to the car it still felt pretty cold. Granted, once you start moving, it will be much warmer than it would've been had it not been started. Hopefully Mazda will improve the phone app-there have been mucho complaints.
