What's the best way to keep rodents out of my vehicle?
It's usually chipmunks and I can't trap of pellet gun all of them.
Changed the cabin air filter which had a few chew spots no droppings or urine stains.
There was a critter somewhere in the front of the vehicle when I went to town yesterday.
Scared the crap out of me when it started calling and I don't mean on the Bluetooth.
Couldn't find it when I got home so it either escaped, fell out or is dead somewhere.
There is no doubt my wife, who has phobia about rodents, would've driven right off the road or hit someone.
Best spray or traps to use?
And no, I don't want moth ***** or anything that smells so bad I can't stand to be in the vehicle.

There are several types of moth ***** and not all of them work very well anyway. They are aimed at moths, not mammals. I have trouble with mice and the occasional rat in my vehicles. In the passenger compartment and trunk area, you can put several fabric softener sheets around. Fairly pleasant smell and it airs out quick. In the engine area and underneath is more problematic. Cayenne pepper powder sprinkled where you park will keep them away, but if you park outside, it won't last long. If you see evidence of gnawing, go to the pet store and get some "Bitter Apple". Wipe or spray it around.
I grabbed a pen cap to pull it off once with my mouth. My dog had been chewing things and left them alone. I found out quick why.
Thanks.
Moth ***** do work great for rodents I used to use them when owned boats and they were covered for the winter.
Obviously, a boat will air out in a matter of few minutes when uncovered.

I learned about fabirc softener sheets once when I unloaded groceries and then hit the bathroom before putting everything up. I got busy and didn't come back for a bit. I had left a load of bread on top of a box of fabric softener. I had to throw that loaf away.
I usually wore bib overalls. As for presentations, once I figured out texting, I was the guy the department manager would text and I'd find the information he needed. He got props for supplying information when the big guys needed it. Otherwise, when I wasn't running equipment, I was the guy making sure everybody went home with all the fingers, and hands, they came in with. I was also a troubleshooter for anything and everything.
