Doesn't seem to be. The washer re-enforces the sheet metal enough.

I put an inquiry in to lift Support Depot and they replied that they did not have a kit for a 2021 CX5. But probably a kit that fits a 2020 would fit a 2021.

However, they referred me to Redline Tuning. Their struts look very good quality, powder coated brackets, etc. Even some stainless steel struts if you wanted. Pricey, but you dont want them to fail while you are working under the hood. The price on their web site is $10 less than on Amazon. Redlinetuning.com

Search for the vehicle you want.

Interesting. I'm looking at the redline ones now. I wonder what the difference between their quicklift and elite is

Yeah I just saw the thing with the differences there. Not worth it to me for an extra $20 but I'm going to order a set of the $89 ones. I have a feeling they'll be better than the Chinese ones and I won't have to wait a month. Those ones haven't shipped yet so maybe I can cancel. (And if not I can throw them on ebay)

Their site shows a comparison tab between three levles, Quicklift, Quicklift Plus and Quicklift Elite. As best I can see, Elite has stainless steel strut's vs black e-coated. The rest of the features seems to be the same.

Yeah I don't trust those ones from the Chinese kit. That's why I was checking out the ones from lift support depot and thinking about getting a set from there and not even bothering with the others.

Are you advising not to buy the Redline? The description on their website sounds very good. $90.
