After reading all of this, I just went out and replaced the battery on our 2020. I don't want to worry about it dying on a frigid morning. As for longevity of OEM batteries,I had a 99 Dodge Caravan, whose original battery lasted 13 years.

My 2021 Signature is just shy of 40,000 miles. I haven't had any issues even with the single digit temperatures we had yesterday. I do have a garage, it's not heated, but still a big help.

You really should take the time and get your battery load tested.

I think you are in for a surprise?

My '21's battery seems to be fine as well. I ran a Genius charger on it yesterday for kicks as we hit 15 last night, but it is in a garage. Starts like a champ.

You should see what your voltage drop is during the start up?
I love the Genius Chargers, and own 3 models. The feature that indicates a BAD battery is accurate but still not a true load test? In fact their own technical information states that it can charge a failing or failed battery at 1 volt to 12volt+ but I believe that they even state that it should be load properly tested ?

Maybe I will have the dealer check it at my next oil change.

I know of very few people that take as good a care to their charging system and their battery as I do. Yet here is a perfect example of my Mazda that get monitored and charged daily, starts fine and give no indication of any problems. the OPTIMA is now load test as failing a load test. This means based on a comment like we often see " my battery starts fine and gives me no trouble" yet I know that I need to get a new battery ASAP because I could go out start my Mazda run up to the store come back out and the engine will not start. It happens that fast!
So I guess i have to thank this forum and this thread to have me post what I thought was going to be an example of HOW_TO check and charge a battery to me finding out since last month when I load tested my own battery and it was good is now failing. My records show I last test Dec 3 2023.

I started out only to wanting show the use of my Ginisus as well my inexpensive daily brand Power Charger I use. Now I am ordering a new battery.
