Default CX5 Diesel blown head gasket on replacement engine

My 2012 CX5 2.2 diesel had the engine replaced in 2018 (out of warranty) by Mazda Australia in good faith after we had the oil light issue.
Regular serviced as always by the book (not by Mazda) but today noticed some coolant sprayed over the motor. Coolant in overflow bottle was above full level and needed to add one litre to radiator to top it up. When I run the engine I get bubbles in the overflow tank so assume the head gasket is gone?
What are my chances of getting this 6 year old replacement engine fixed by Mazda Australia due to known issues?

You should try contacting them just to see what they say, but considering it's been over half a decade since the repair I'd think they'll say that they can't do anything. Mazda's diesels are plagued with issues.

For a 12 year old vehicle I would say 1%.

( Yes, I have been involved in more dead SH engines than you could possibly imagine)

Even if the new engine they fitted is just over 5 years old?

Thanks for the reply.
There seems to be mixed opinions on whether you can shave the head when doing a rebuild - your thoughts?

I say yes, Mazda Australia say no, from a warranty repair perspective.
