Thanks for measuring this!

Is there a way you can measure what the length is from the opening on one of the sides to the back seat? I know it curves in at the sides. In the image I just posted here, basically one of the red lines I'm looking for a measurement.

Thanks!

I have luggage 29.5x20x12.5 and I wanted to confirm it would fit being put straight in the back.

Appreciate the reply.

That is from the Legacy? They are pretty big inside. Not surprised. The CX-5 has those same wings on the all weather mat.

Yah the Legacy trunk was wide inside, but I'll take the CX-5 rear cargo any day of the week.

yup...my point is they are pretty equal...the cx-5 has wings on the all weather mat if you have it in the lower deck position...i have mine in the upper position for easier access to the hidden storage...if i put it in the lower position i have to slide the rear panel back to lift it and i usually have a lot in my trunk so i will be getting the upper position all weather cargo mat similar to the cargo rug in the photo

Didn't realize the new cargo set up made the mats different. Not a good "upgrade" IMHO. I was surprised they did that so late in the run of the current gen CX-5.
